snack:
when jeffrey was on his gluten free diet, he ate a lot of these pretzels. hanging out with him as much as i did back then, naturally i got hooked! i love these pretzels! love 'em even more than the real deal ones.
dinner:
we landed in san diego at 8:30pm and my beloved nephew, niko, picked us up. we hit up lucha libre taco shop in mission hills. not your typical san diegan taqueria but they always have a line out the door, and according to yelp "vegetarians love this place!" the cashier was very mindful of my restrictions as i ordered my veg out burrito, mentioning that the beans came with cheese sprinkled on top but i had the option to omit it altogether. i chose to get my beans with cheese and ry ate them. although my burrito was quite tasty, it definitely didn't have the mexican components. marinated and grilled vegetables (onions, bell pepper, mushrooms, zucchini), guacamole, & rice...felt more like a wrap.
love:
i called mom to thank her for being so thoughtful and considerate about my diet restrictions. it's heart warming. i also got to talk to cj. it makes me smile thinking of how much he's grown. he filled me in on grad night, his plans after high school, and how his girlfriend, jessica, wants to hang out when i'm in town. adorable this godson of mine...
i'm 1/3 of the way into my 90-day program!!! it's true what they say...it's always hard getting started, but once you've committed, it gets easier.
