why the radical change?

"doing nothing is not recommended."

after reading a variety of articles and forums, i learned that dysplasia isn't something that is 100% cured. some women have undergone more than one surgery, which in turn eliminates more and more of their cervical tissue. this is definitely not an option for me. i shifted my thinking to a more positive approach. instead of reading horrific and painful stories of women who had gone through various procedures and hopeless statistics, i chose to search for ways to reverse my condition.

here's what i found:

makes sense right?

my doctor instructed me to do the following in the meantime: continue taking my multi-vitamin + folic acid supplement, strengthen my immune system by eating healthy, exercising, and alleviating stress.

i've always looked at diet and fitness more with a vanity perspective, but now realizing that the quality of my life depends on it, adapting to a more healthy lifestyle seems like an easy challenge. after all, i did refrain from eating beef and pork for 10 years!

and lastly and more importantly...

and because i have an amazing support system...

that's one less thing to worry about.
